Landlord/ Director

Hi Gents
I discovered your podcast a couple of years ago and have really enjoyed your content and advice. I'm from Essex and I originally started out as an electrician. I've been a hands-on landlord building good relationships with my tenants for over 10 years whilst separately progressing my career in the property maintenance & facilities industry. I've slowly built my portfolio to 4 rented properties and made the leap last year to creating and purchasing a property in Doncaster through a Ltd company.
Your episode "How to quit your £100k job" has come at a time where I'm really trying to put momentum back into my portfolio growth so I can firm up my early retirement plan. I also invest in a workplace pension, but the numbers aren't as good when you try to retire early. The reason I acquired a property in Doncaster last year was due to it being an area I discovered following your podcast "North v South" episode featuring Redroots Property Agents. Who I have spoken with a few times in the last year, unfortunately they didn't have any suitable properties at the time, but I am looking to move the management of my Doncaster property to them later this year once the existing contract is up.
Your recent episode really resonated with me because I did a similar journey where I was working in the day and then working on the properties after work and at the weekends. I have since got married, started a family and moved away from these properties and have had to adapt my management approach. I've built up a network of good people over the years and have good experience as a landlord and spotting a good deal. As a separate venture I am starting to offer deal sourcing and analysis services to investors to help boost my income to speed up the growth of the business (primarily in the Essex and Suffolk area). As you mention in your podcast it takes years not months to build the cash for a deposit (as lifestyle costs do grow unfortunately) and every little helps. I've built up a lot of useful tools, knowledge and contacts that I think can really help other investors. Property has always been my passion and whilst my friends tend to scroll through Facebook in those quite moments, I’ve always enjoyed scrolling through Rightmove. Hopefully I'm the type of candidate suitable for your podcast and it would be good to talk about how the podcast has helped me and use the opportunity to also get my name out there. I've added my new linked in for the ltd company however I have a separate linked in that focusses on my career which may also be of interest to you to demonstrate I am a professional in all aspects of my work. Please don't hesitate to get in touch.
